Registered/NYS Certified Dietitian
Certified Nutrition Response Testing Practitioner
I earned my Bachelors degree in Dietetics from the State University
of New York at Oneonta and my Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College. I was a late bloomer in deciding what I wanted to be so I worked many years in the food service industry before becoming a Registered Dietitian. My first college degree in business and accounting led me to work as a general manager for Friendly's Ice Cream, Inc. From there, I gained nutrition experience working in the food service department of several hospitals and as a Dietetic Technician in a long-term care facility. For the past 19 years I have been practicing as a Registered Dietitian working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. This position has honed some very unique skills in the area of nutrition. I also have recent experience working as a Health and Wellness Coach for Provant Health Solutions, Inc. That wasn't enough to keep me busy, so for the past 6 years I have been studying and practicing an alternative healing therapy called Nutrition Response Testing. I have received my training and certification through Ulan Nutritional Systems, Inc. In September 2016 I graduated as a Certified Nutrition Response Testing Practitioner and I am very excited to offer my services to members of my community.
How I can help you...
As a Registered Dietitian I can make nutrition recommendations make sense by helping you understand your current health status and how nutrition can improve your overall well-being. I can teach you the nutritional value of food, how to plan a nutritionally balanced menu, how to navigate a grocery store and even how to prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks.
As a Certified Advanced Nutrition Response Testing Practitioner I can help you identify the exact barriers that are contributing to your personal health problems. You won't have to keep paying for speculations by medical "experts" on why you don't feel well. Traditional medicine takes the easy road of eradicating symptoms with drugs or surgery. Nutrition Response Testing is a different approach. You and your body will tell me exactly what is wrong and what the exact solution is. Together we will develop a program to help restore optimal health.
With my Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology I can determine your current fitness level and develop a conditioning program to restore or further develop your strength and cardiovascular endurance.
To empower as many people as I can to take responsibility for their health by teaching them how to nourish and take care of their bodies.
